The huge investment was started under leadership of the businessman Ahmet Şahap Ünlü .

Ahmet Şahap Ünlü, one of the businessmen of our country, starts operation of the chrome mine sites in NURDAĞ, together with Nar Mining.

Ahmet Şahap ÜNLÜ who made an explanation about the subject said that “ I’ m from Gazianteh İslahiye and development of the region is very important for me. I have decided to operate the chrome site I own together with a national mining group instead of selling it to foreign investors. I will help to Nar Mining in every matter related to the agreement we have signed. “ Ahmet Şahap Ünlü who demanded hiring of personnel from locals expressed that owner of Nar Mininig Burak M. Aydın promised to share all the opportunities they had with the people from the region.

OUR LOVE IS İSLÂHİYE

At the weekend (8 - 9 May 2010) we went to our beautiful district İslahiye. Even though I go there very often, this travel excited me so much.

Do you ask why? The purpose of this organization realized under management of İslahiye District Governor Resul Kır and İslahiye Chamber of Trade President Mr. Mekal Vural was to discuss the subject of “What can be done for İslahiye?” and for this reason, both I and all the Board of Directors members got excided so much.

The president of our foundation Mr. Yusuf Ağa Kuş, Gaziantep citizens Federation General Accountant and our Founder Chairman Mr. Hacı Çapar, our former board of directors member and Federation Delegate Mr. Tali Demir, our existing board of directors members Mr. Mehmet Kanoğlu and Mr. Erol Aydın, Audit Board member Mr.Ali Yılmaz and European Side Responsible Mr. Bülent Kurt and our fellow countrymen Prof. Dr. Mr Halil Koyuncu, Mr. Cuma Öztürk, Journalist and author Mr. Mehmet Ali Bulut and Mr. Ahmet Şahap Ünlü, all the members of İstanbul İslahiyeliler Foundation, together participated in this organization

Acquaintance meeting with the new appointed Austria İstanbul Consulate Paul Jenewein

The acquaintance meeting with the new appointed Austria İstanbul Consul General Paul Jenewein was organized at Austria İstanbul Consulate General on July 14, 2010, with participations of Turkish-Austria Business Council President Mr. Şadi Gücüm, Business Council Vice Presidents Mr. Tevfik Bilgen, Mrs. Ayşe Kolat and Mr. Ahmet Şahap Ünlü, Execution Board members Mr. Aykut Ferah and Mr. Erol User,DEİK Regional coordinator Aslı Özelli and Business Council Vice Coordinator Leyla Gürbüz.

The Business Council President Mr. Gücüm explained the visa problems frequently experienced by the representatives from the Turkish Private Sector who wished to make business with Austria, insufficiency of cooperation with WKÖ- opposite wing council of the business council- and the activity calendar of the business council for 2013 year.

The council general Jenewein stated that KOBİs from Austria hesitated to make investment in Turkey, the Turkey-Austria cooperation and investment opportunities must be introduced more, within this framework, cooperation with Austria Investment agency (ABA) could be developed, and cooperation opportunities to third countries and participation of Austria companies in exhibitions in Turkey must be encouraged. The council general Jenewein gave information about the desire of Austria State television ORF to open an office in İstanbul.

Gaziantep, international hotel was opened.

The Novotel and İbis Hotels constructed in Gaziantep by Accor and Akfen GYO with 21 million euro investment was opened by the Minister of Finance Mehmet Şimşek. Şimşek stated that unemployment was the biggest problem and they would solve that problem with private sector investments. He congratulated Mr. Hamdi. ACCOR Turkey General Director Murat Kadaifçioğlu said that they put 10 hotels into operation within 5 years and they planned to put 8 hotels into operation within next 5 years. Kadaifçioğlu emphasized that they assumed great responsibility said that “We are not here just for 3 days. We are not here to launder the investments or transfer the capital to funds. We are the continuance of a company that makes 1 million investment per year.”

Gate opening to Middle Asia and Middle East for Gaziantep, (www.euractive.com.tr 27.03.2009)

Gaziantep Chamber of Trade (GTO) Chairman of Board of Directors Mehmet Aslan stated that Gaziantep, because of its strategic position, was a gate opening to the Middle Asia and Middle East. He said that “ With cooperation to be made in the future, relations between Gaziantep and Spain will be carried to upper levels.”
